Bauwerk believes in Lobster.

Bauwerk is one of the biggest manufacturers of premium parquet flooring in the world. The company sells 11.5 million sqm of parquet annually under its three brands Bauwerk Parkett, Boen and Somerset Hardwood Flooring.

One of the challenges Bauwerk addressed with the help of Lobster PIM was the lack of consistent product information across the group’s websites and its inability to display entirely identical product data across different channels.

By migrating from its previous system to Lobster_pim, the Group can now integrate different source systems and storage solutions. The benefits of this transition included being able to enrich data with industry-specific and product-specific information such as non-slip properties, shades, sustainability credentials of the woods etc. (i.e. categories that are not available in common ERP systems). The Group can now also maintain its content centrally and has optimised the way it produces print labels and print-on-demand materials in multiple languages.

In addition, thanks to the PIM team’s many years of expertise and solution-oriented mentality, the project stayed on budget despite tight deadlines.
