One of the world’s largest manufacturers of imaging-related equipment, Epson Europe, was struggling to integrate real-time data from the Group server in Japan within its in-house system.
The company was facing a number of problems ranging from insufficient data quality when downloading data to time-consuming data reconciliation between Japan and Germany.
To master these challenges, Epson Europe opted to install Lobster_data on its in-house server. This decision not only enables automated data transfers with improved data integrity, but also optimises the availability of said data. Plus, transmissions from Japan to Germany can now be time triggered.
Automatically converting the data into common European formats for SharePoint and Unix considerably reduces the error rate for ERP data conversions. If the Japanese server is not available, Epson Europe is promptly notified with an automated error message.
