Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) has a promising future in terms of API and workflow. Many webshop systems and platforms have dedicated APIs that can be implemented with Lobster_data. This includes REST as the currently most commonly used API variant, with HTTPS as the protocol and JSON or XML as the data format.
For security reasons, APIs are usually preceded by an authorisation or authentication procedure such as 0Auth 2.0. And Lobster_data also supports this. By the way, we have already connected many of the most successful e-commerce systems and webshops with a broad coverage.

Lobster_data’s Salesforce Connector provides users with comprehensive access to important CRM data (customer management, order management) in Salesforce. Due to its flexibility and scalability, the connector is ideal for integrating Salesforce into applications and executing very complex operations. Through the connector, you can integrate Salesforce into your company’s own ERP and financial systems and enhance critical business systems with important customer information. Access management is fully encapsulated and greatly simplified by configuring the connections only one time. Direct integration of session handling in the Salesforce Connector speeds up API creation and operation.
Lobster_data enables a direct connection to the Amazon Seller Shop via its dedicated Amazon Connector and uses the latest interface technology with the Amazon Selling Partner (SP) API. Simple SQL queries allow for easy access to orders, products, and shipments in Amazon Marketplace. In bidirectional real-time mode, live data from the Amazon shop can be easily managed for product maintenance and reporting. The ability to connect to the SP API is particularly important as in the near future Amazon will implement and offer all new features exclusively through the SP API. All existing options will be discontinued.
The Microsoft Dataverse Connector for Lobster_data gives access to the extensive tables in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse via simple SQL statements. It is visible as a database in Lobster_data with the JDBC driver for reading and writing table data. The MS Dataverse Connector is all the more important because Dataverse offers a very comprehensive data silo and, in conjunction with Dynamics 365, Power Apps and Power BI, has become a central component of Microsoft’s strategy as a whole – and therefore an important requirement for Microsoft customers to increasingly be able to access data-based insights through artificial intelligence (AI) and enabling them to use them.
At Lobster, high usability of all solutions is a top priority, which is generally why any JDBC driver can be connected. In addition, Lobster_data can integrate over 90 JDBC-based connectors through Lobster’s technology partner, CData. Thanks to this partnership, Lobster customers only need to configure each connection once per connector and then easily access the data source in table form via SQL.
